Integrated Nanophotonic Systems

Compact nanophotonic systems are a key pillar of quantum technologies enabling a deeper integration of single-photon light sources in quantum communication, sensing and imaging systems. Their successful transfer to innovation, however, is restricted by the complexity and low adaptability of bulky instruments and requirement of cryogenic conditions.

We develop a fully integrated nanophotonic system in which we combine a single photon source directly with waveguides creating monolithic solutions using scalable methods. Due to their compact design and high adaptability they can support a broad range of quantum applications such as ghost-imaging, quantum protocols, and molecular sensing.
